It is always important for a mother and daughter to find time just to spend with each other without all the distractions that face daily living. Where else to get away than to the Bahamas for a week solely devoted to the two of you? The intimate boutique hotel, Pink Sands Resort on Harbour Island in the Bahamas, is the ideal location for such a retreat. Sitting on 20 acres above one of the most beautiful beaches in the world (yes it is pink!), the resort provides peace and quiet. The 25 pastel-colored cottages, scattered throughout lush tropical grounds, provide the setting for a sophisticated but relaxed beach holiday. Walk along the three mile powder sand beach, enjoy gourmet meals, and take advantage of all manner of water sports or snooze on a secluded beach. The retreat will have no more than 10 mother/daughter couples. The retreat and facilities can also accommodate a mother bringing two daughters.

Each of the six annual retreats features a variety of mind-body activities that allow you to re-connect with your essential self. Our guest faculty you will lead discussions on techniques to nurture your mind, body and spirit and we will practice those modalities daily.

The retreat will begin with a welcome cocktail reception to introduce you to Janice Briggs and the very talented faculty she brings to the retreat. The days will be filled with substantive discussions with the faculty on a series of mind, body and spirit topics relevant to both mother and daughter. But there will be lots of time for leisure and relaxation. Arrangements have been made for horseback riding, kayaking and other water sports. Other activities include:

Daily yoga classes with yogi, Jessica Seaburn
Private snorkeling, kayaking and water sports excursions on Eleuthera
One in-room massage treatment included for each guest
Bahamian barbeque, "rake n' scrape" and stargazing
